Since its founding in 1955 through
the joint efforts of Maestro Walter Herbert and Houston cultural
leader, Mrs. Louis G. Lobit, Houston Grand Opera has become internationally
recognized as one of the innovators in musical theater. The company's
track record speaks for itself: Twenty-five world premieres in
46 years of presenting opera; six American premieres and a long
list of talented performers who have passed through HGO's acclaimed
training program, Houston Grand Opera Studio.
"Kimberly Gremillion has an incredible eye. She knows
how to capture the art of the moment. Her photographs of the
theater cut to the emotional essence of each subject."David Gockley

society and a catalyst for the enrichment, growth and pleasure for all citizens
of that society. Society for the Performing Arts mandate, therefore, is
to create opportunities for the discovery, development and celebration of creative
abilities in whatever form they may take.
"What a great experience it is to view Kimberly Gremillion's
