My photographs
are not a document about boxing, but instead are an examination
of the raw edges. From the visceral experience of the sport
to the grace and the agility of the opponents, I capture
the dynamics of action and reaction. In the midst of the
boxers frenzied motion, I isolate specific moments of time
and space that cannot be seen.
"More often than not, performance photography seems lifeless
and posed. These photographs are alive. These photographs look
dangerous - yet beautiful. Art photographing art."
